Hattiesburg Midwifery is proud to welcome Tara Shaw to our team as our Clinical Coordinator! Tara will be working closely with Erin McCloud, Office Manager, over the next few weeks learning the ins and outs of the organization before Erin officially passes the torch. We are beyond grateful for Erin's dedication and service, and we are so excited about our future with Tara!
Tara, a birth doula in the Jackson Metro area, has always been passionate about women and reproductive health. However, her interest grew after conducting a research project on women and their birth stories during her undergraduate studies at Mississippi College and after the birth of her first daughter. She is now pursuing her dream of becoming a Midwife while continuing to help families during their pregnancy and birth journeys. Despite her professional accomplishments, her favorite title is still "Mommy."
Tara is happily married to her husband, Brandon, and they have two children.
